WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT
Starting out:
Your journey with ekTherapy begins with a brief phone consultation. This initial conversation is a chance to connect, ask questions, and determine whether scheduling a first session feels right for you.
Your first session:
The first session is an opportunity for you and your therapist to meet, begin building rapport, and get a sense of how therapy might support you. You'll have space to share what's bringing you in, explore your goals, and decide if it feels like a good fit.
Moving forward:
Subsequent sessions become more therapeutic in focus. For example, in your second session, you may begin to explore a specific concern, symptom, or past experience discussed in your first visit. Over time, your sessions will evolve based on your needs. Together, we’ll shape and adapt the therapeutic process to support your growth, healing, and goals.
How We Work With You
Therapy
Do you find yourself struggling with feelings of depression, anxiety, loneliness, or anger? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it by yourself.
In therapy, we work together to better understand these overwhelming emotions, develop practical tools for coping, and create meaningful strategies to shift patterns of unwanted thoughts, behaviors, or emotional responses.
Our goal is to help you feel more empowered, grounded, and in control of your experience—so you can move toward the life you want to live.
Our workshops blend therapeutic insight with experiential learning—offering a supportive space to explore the latest techniques, tools, and ideas for personal growth and transformation.
Each workshop is designed to be practical, engaging, and grounded in real-life application. Whether you're looking to deepen self-awareness, reduce stress, or navigate change, our workshops provide focused support in a collaborative environment. Topics include:
Stages of Change - Understand where you are in your personal change process and how to move forward with clarity and purpose.
-
Meaningful Communication - Learn tools to express yourself more effectively and deepen your connections with others.
-
Stress Reduction & Mindfulness - Explore simple, research-backed practices to stay grounded and manage life’s daily challenges.
-
Jumpstart Change - A dynamic workshop to help you take that first step—whether it’s shifting habits, starting therapy, or creating new goals.
Supervision for Clinicians
Are you working toward your LCSW and looking for collaborative, supportive supervision?
This is a space to reflect on your clinical work, deepen your understanding of assessment and treatment, and develop your professional identity as a social worker. Together, we’ll explore the dynamics that inform your clinical decisions, therapeutic relationships, and use of self in practice.
Supervision includes attention to:
-
Case formulation and treatment planning
-
Ethical practice and professional boundaries
-
Use of evidence-based and integrative approaches
-
Countertransference and self-reflection
-
Navigating systems and social justice-informed care
-
Whether you're early in your hours or nearing completion, our work together is grounded in growth, clarity, and confidence as you prepare for independent licensure.

Where we Work
We make it easy to begin therapy—wherever you are and
however you feel most comfortable.
Our therapists offer sessions online, in-person, or a combination of both,
depending on what works best for your life and schedule.
Whether you prefer the convenience of virtual therapy,
the connection of in-office visits, or the flexibility to do both,
we're here to meet you where you are—literally and emotionally.
Therapy in the Office
If in-person therapy feels like the right fit for you, we welcome you to our office for face-to-face sessions.
Our space is designed to be calm, private, and supportive offering a setting where you can feel grounded and fully present. We’ve also implemented thorough health and safety measures that meet high standards of care, ensuring your comfort and well-being during each visit.
In-person therapy can offer a deeper sense of connection and structure for those who prefer or benefit from being physically present with their therapist.
Therapy at a Distance
If virtual therapy is the best fit for your life, we offer secure video sessions so you can connect with your therapist from the comfort and privacy of your own space.
Teletherapy offers flexibility and accessibility—whether you're at home, at work, or navigating a busy schedule. We are committed to providing high-quality, confidential care through a secure platform, ensuring your experience is just as safe, supportive, and effective as in-person sessions.
Therapy Hybrid
Looking for the flexibility of both in-person and virtual therapy? Our hybrid option offers the best of both worlds.
This approach allows you and your therapist to create a schedule that combines in-office sessions with secure video visits, based on your needs, availability, and comfort. Whether you want to start in person and shift online, alternate formats, or adapt as life changes, hybrid therapy provides the adaptability to make it work for you.
